Last week, we completed a landmark humanitarian program in Windhoek, Namibia, performing 57 surgeries on 45 patients, including many complex pediatric deformities. The experience was as always humbling and gratifying. My sincere thanks to our faculty—Li Ying, Marco Tulio, and Jordanna Bergamasco—for their leadership and dedication. We could not have achieved this without the support of the local hosts Dr Jacques Jonck and Dr TK Majojo as well as Lady Pohamba Hospital and the Windhoek Central Hospital State Team. We look forward to returning to Namibia in August 2027 to continue this sustainable work.

From June 3–6, the Steps2Walk team was in Nepal for Foot and Ankle Training & Surgery at Nepal Mediciti Hospital in Lalitpur.

We were grateful to work alongside the local organizing team, including Dr. Daman Kumar Jha, Prof. Dr. Shishir Lakhey, and Dr. Jitendra Thakur, with visiting faculty Dr. Cristian Ortiz, Dr. Manuel Sousa, Dr. Naren Gurbani, and Dr. Rajesh Simon.

Together, the team provided surgical care, hands-on training, and education to help expand access to specialized foot and ankle care in Nepal.
